Concept Art - Mechanical Familiar

This project is a concept artwork of a mechanical familiar designed for a DnD campaign. The character is a robotic bathtub with cooper legs, wings and a heart shaped gear piece at its front end. Powered up by tourmaline jewels, the creature's wings and front screen glow in a beautiful pink and green light.

Included in this project are the full illustration, the initial sketches, alternate color variations of the creature and a video showing the entire rendering process.

Initial sketches

As mentioned previously, the robotic familiar has mechanical wings and legs made of assorted cooper parts. When powered up by tourmaline jewels, it is possible to see a pink and green light shining through the clear crystal glass at the end of its wings and on the inside of the heart shaped gear.

Character sheet

I also made a simple character sheet to show how the creature would look like if it was powered off or deactivated. Instead of the beautiful glowing light of the tourmaline, you would instead see its clear crystal glass wings and front screen.

Color variations

I also made a few color variations of both the bathtub and the glowing light inside the familiar, the idea being that different gemstones could power up different variants of it.
